Close-together sites mean neighbor noise travels easily, RVs aren't allowed, parking is tight, and AT&T users may find cell service unreliable. Late summer visitors will find the falls mostly dry.

Spring brings the fullest waterfalls, the greenest canyon walls, and mild daytime temperatures ideal for hiking, typically 55–70°F by day and 40–50°F at night. Trails and cascades hit their photogenic peak, and wildflowers and new fern growth make short hikes especially rewarding. Expect moderate to high crowds on weekends near the falls. Winter and early spring deliver the richest waterfall flows, but heavy rains can flood trails like the Contour Trail, making footing slippery or passage impossible. Check conditions before heading out. Summer is drier and the waterfalls slow, but the shaded trails remain pleasant. Fall offers quieter visits with moderate temperatures.
