Summer weekends are hot, crowded, and the lake can be too low for boating. If you're sensitive to heat and can't snag a shaded lakeview site, July and August will disappoint.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Spring offers the best combination of comfortable weather and scenery. Daytime highs usually range from the low 60s to mid-70s°F with cool nights in the 40s–50s°F. Trails are ideal for hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, and shore fishing. Reservoir levels are typically reasonable for boating. Summer gets very hot. Carry extra water and expect full sites on weekends. Fall delivers comfortable temperatures for hiking the hilly trails and fewer crowds. Weekend reservations fill quickly in any season.
Spring displays of colorful wildflowers across rolling terrain make it a peak scenic season.
