Best season: fall. Fall offers the best balance of comfortable weather, lower crowds, and vivid late-season color along the creek and cottonwoods — perfect for photography at Rose Valley Falls. Expect mild days in the mid-50s to mid-70s °F and crisp nights that can dip near freezing (highs ~55–75°F, lows ~28–40°F), making hiking and camping comfortable without summer heat. Trails are usually dry and stable through much of October and November, and wildlife activity (birds, deer) is high while weekday visitation is Peak months: October, November, April, May
