Tent campers and kayakers who pack in all their water, a bear canister, and bug spray will find genuine solitude here on weekdays. The lake is calm enough for a paddleboard or small kayak, and weekday mornings on the water with granite ridges reflecting back at you are hard to be

About the campground

The elevation is 8,100 ft. The campground, located in Logan Canyon, winds up a mountainside above Tony Grove Lake through stands of huge Engelmann spruce, fir and Aspen. While the camping sites are are tucked in under towering trees, meadows full of wildflowers dot the campground. The design and layout of the campground suggest Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) origin and will prove a challenge to large RVs. A narrow interior road, tight turns and road- hugging trees contribute to the negotiating problems faced by large RVs. The nearby Mt. Naomi Wilderness offers many hiking trails to explore. Cache National Forest 187 Tony Grove Lake is excellent for canoeing and fishing. The campground is pack it in, pack it out. Firewood is available for a fee. For more information about the campground and Logan Canyon, obtain the booklet: "A Scenic Guide to Logan Canyon," from the Logan Ranger District Office.
