Spontaneous trips won't work here, no walk-ins, period. And at $250/night for a single site, smaller parties will feel the price. Anyone needing cell service should also know reviews confirm it's genuinely off-grid.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Summer is the prime season. Daytime highs reach 70–80°F, with nights dropping into the low 40s. Lakes and boat ramps are open, fishing peaks as alpine waters warm, and all facilities are available. Holiday weekends get busier, so reserve ahead. Winter brings snow and temperatures between 20°F and 40°F. Spring weather shifts quickly; rain is common, but wildflowers arrive with it. Pack layers no matter when you visit.
Prime season: highs 70–80°F, lakes/ramps open, programs active and most facilities available.

Lisa Group Campground in Plumas-Eureka State Park offers a variety of amenities catering to group campers. Accessible facilities include ADA-compliant showers and flush toilets, as well as gravel driveways with slight grades allowing for easier maneuverability. Each campsite includes picnic tables, grills/fire rings, and bear-resistant food lockers. Potable drinking water is available. The narrow, winding, roughly graded dirt access road requires caution for passenger vehicles, and parking is limited to 10 passenger vehicles. The campground is tent-only and ADA-compliant, but accessibility depends on personal mobility capabilities. Dogs are allowed, but must be leashed at all times and kept inside at night.
