Wildflowers bloom across the dunes during this season, and shorebird migrations make for strong wildlife viewing. Summer brings coastal fog that cools afternoons and creates damp, misty mornings. Year-round temperatures stay moderate, rarely climbing above 70°F even in peak season. Nights turn chilly regardless of the month. Pack warm layers and expect wind on exposed ridgetops.
