A broken main water line means you need to bring your own drinking water right now. Add no showers, no dump station, and near-zero cell service, and RV campers or anyone expecting full hookups will be disappointed before they unpack.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Summer brings the most reliable conditions: cool afternoons around 60–68°F with frequent morning fog that burns off by midday. This is peak season for hiking, tidepooling, biking the bluff trails, and wildlife viewing. Harbor seals and sea birds are common. Winter mornings drop to the low 40s. Fog is common year-round and the weather can shift quickly. Sites get soggy after rain, especially in the inner loop. Pack layers.
Dry summer months best; cool afternoons 60–68°F and ideal for hiking, tidepooling and biking.

Woodside Campground at Salt Point State Park offers amenities including picnic tables, fire rings, and food lockers at all campsites. Drinking water faucets are available and are marked with red mushroom tops for visibility but must not be used for RV filling as no potable water filling stations are present. Flush toilets are available, but there are no shower facilities or dump stations. Firewood can be purchased at camp host sites. Cell phone service is minimal, with limited Verizon coverage near the ranger station and free Wi-Fi at the day-use parking lot.
