Hauling in all your drinking water on top of coin-op showers already feels like too much friction for the price. Highway 1 noise carries throughout the loop, and light sleepers who didn't grab sites 20-23 will notice it after 10pm.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Fall brings the warmest, clearest weather on this stretch of coast. Daytime highs reach the mid-50s to upper-60s°F, fog lifts more reliably than in summer, and seas calm enough to make fishing from the cove more pleasant. Trails and bluff viewpoints are at their best for hiking and wildlife viewing. Crowd levels drop after Labor Day. Summer fog can blanket the area for days, keeping temperatures in the 50s-60s even in July. Pack layers. Winter sees more rainfall and cooler temperatures but offers solitude for campers who don't mind wet conditions. Spring brings milder weather but less predictability than fall. The tree-sheltered location provides some buffer from coastal winds year-round.
Fall brings the warmest, clearest weather and calmer seas—best season per notes.

Stillwater Cove provides solid amenities for a regional park campground, with 23 sites accommodating tents, trailers, and RVs up to 31 feet in length. Sites 3-5 and 8-10 offer electrical hookups for RVers, while sites 20-23 are tent-only and offer the most seclusion. The campground features coin-operated hot showers, flush toilets, and a dump station for RV waste disposal. Two ADA-accessible sites ensure the park welcomes visitors with mobility challenges, and restrooms include electrical outlets for convenience. A dedicated hiker/biker site provides budget-friendly options for human-powered travelers. Potable water is available but requires boiling before consumption due to bacterial contamination. Firewood can be purchased on-site, and a fish butchering station keeps cleanup away from individual campsites. Generator use is permitted from 8am-8pm only. Dogs are welcome on leash for a $2 per night fee. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance, with 20 of 23 sites reservable.
