Best season: summer. Summer offers the warmest, most reliable weather and peak access to Eagle Lake’s water-based recreation — expect daytime highs around 75–90°F and cool nights near 40–50°F. Boating, swimming, and top trout fishing are at their best from mid-June through August, and all campground facilities and boat ramps are open and staffed. Expect higher crowds and reserved sites during July–early September, especially on holiday weekends. Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: November, December, January, February

West Eagle Campground offers essential amenities for a comfortable group camping experience. The campground has two group sites equipped with tables, campfire rings, and grills. Accessible flush toilets, electricity, and potable drinking water are provided. Firewood is available for purchase on-site. The campground is situated at an elevation of 5,100 feet in a forest of mature pine trees with a grassy understory. A few sites offer scenic lake views and space to moor a boat. Users can enjoy a paved pathway connecting different campsites and parks.
