Best season: summer. Summer offers warm, sunny days (typical highs in the mid-70s to mid-80s°F at 5,100 ft) and cool nights in the 40s–50s, making lake activities and shore-side camping comfortable. Boating, swimming, and shoreline fishing are at their peak, the marina and campground services are fully staffed, and most trails and roads are reliably open. Expect the busiest weekends in July and August, so reserve a site early for waterfront or walk-in spots. Peak months: July, August, June, May Avoid: October, November, December, January
Best conditions: mid-70s to 80s days, cool nights; peak season May 15 - Sept 2 with full activity access.
