Fall brings the best camping weather, with daytime highs of 70–85°F and cool nights in the 45–55°F range. Cottonwoods along the river take on late-season color, and lower water levels make fishing and wading easier. Spring also delivers comfortable temperatures, though some sites still feel exposed in early April. Summer is hot with limited shade, especially in upper loops. Winter is a mild-weather refuge for RVers, but nights drop considerably and you'll need layers. The park stays open year-round.
