Best season: fall. Visit in fall for the best combination of mild daytime temperatures (typically 60–80°F), crisp nights (40s–50s), and spectacular cottonwood color along Oak Creek that contrasts with Sedona’s red rocks—ideal for hiking, photography, and mountain biking. Trails are comfortable without summer heat or monsoon storms, and water levels in Oak Creek are lower and clearer for fishing and creek-side relaxing. Expect weekends to be busier (fall is a popular season), but weekdays remain pleasantly uncrowed Peak months: October, November, April, March
