Pet owners can't book here at all. Full weekends pack the sites close together, and neighbor noise after quiet hours is the most consistent complaint in reviews.

Fall delivers the best camping conditions. October highs reach the 60s to 80s°F before cooling into the 50s by November, with crisp nights in the 40s to 50s. Humidity stays low and crowds thin after summer, making riverside trails and hilltop loops more pleasant. Golden light hits the red rocks in the evening. September and October also work well. Summer heat in July can be punishing. Nights turn cold in winter but days warm enough for hiking.
Peak season with warm days. Most facilities open. Reserve ahead.
