Best season: summer. Summer offers the warmest, most reliable weather for lakeside activities — expect daytime highs commonly in the mid-70s to mid-80s°F and cool, windy nights dropping into the 40s–50s°F. Boating, swimming, and reservoir fishing are at their peak, and the exposed campsites provide spectacular long-evening light for photography. Camps fill quickly despite the campground's small size, so plan midweek stays or reserve early; be mindful of high fire danger and occasional strong winds after dark. Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: December, January, February
Summer described as most reliable with highs in the 70s–80s; peak season for activities.
Hogan and Luce Campground features picnic tables, toilet facilities, bear-proof food storage boxes, grills/fire rings, horse trailer parking, horse stanchions, hitching rails as well as proximity to reservoirs. It also includes a boat ramp.
