Best season: fall. Fall offers the best combination of scenery and fishing — the aspen pockets turn golden and Lodgepole pines provide a beautiful contrast while Cottonwood Creek runs clear and trout are active as temperatures cool. Expect crisp days in the 45–65°F range and chilly nights around 25–35°F; late September to early October is peak color and the campground sees fewer visitors than midsummer. This season is ideal for photography, peaceful shoreline fishing, and easy day hikes, but be aware of general-gq Peak months: September, October, June, July Avoid: December, January, February
Late Sep–early Oct brings golden aspens vs dark pines; fall noted as best season for scenery/fishing.
Bostetter Campground consists of 10 individual sites and 1 group site. It is set among Lodgepole pine trees and stretches along Cottonwood Creek. Amenities include pack-it-in/pack-it-out policies and toilets. The campground is suitable for both trailer and tent camping.
