Best season: spring. Spring offers the best combination of accessible roads, active trout fishing, and lush riparian scenery as snowmelt boosts Tabor Creek and draws wildlife to the water. Expect daytime highs roughly in the 50s–70s°F (10–25°C) with chilly nights around freezing to the 40s°F (0–8°C); water levels are higher so flies and bait do well and freshly stocked trout are most eager. With only 10 sites the campground stays quiet even in peak weekends, though late May–early June sees the most anglers and bird- Peak months: May, June, July, September Avoid: December, January, February
