Best season: summer. Summer offers the clearest access and the best overall conditions at 8,800 ft: expect dry, sun-filled days around 70–76°F and cool nights near 48–54°F, making hiking, fishing and boating on nearby Electric Lake comfortable. Wildflowers and open views of the Wasatch Plateau peak in mid-summer, trails are generally snow-free, and campground facilities are fully staffed and available. Weekends can be moderately busy, but crowds are lighter than lower-elevation reservoirs and you’ll still find quiet Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: January, February, March, April
Summer is the practical window: cool days (70–76°F), open Jun 6–Sep 7, trails snow-free by mid-summer.
