A large, gravel parking area provides ample room for RVs of any size. Site amenities include picnic tables, serving tables, benches, fire ring and dutch oven stands. Best season: summer. Late summer (especially August) offers the most reliable and comfortable weather — daytime highs around 60–70°F and cool nights near 40–45°F — making hiking, group camping, biking and fishing ideal. Trails and roads are fully accessible, water in Huntington Creek and nearby alpine lakes is attractive for anglers, and wildflower meadows are still pleasant before the first snows. Expect higher weekend crowds during peak season, so reserve the group site during the May 16–Sep 23 reservable window,或 Peak months: August, July, September, June Avoid: November, December, January, February
August offers best conditions: 60–70°F days, clear trails, low precipitation and prime stargazing.
