Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable warm weather and long daylight for camping, hiking among the dramatic rock formations, and excellent stargazing — expect daytime highs roughly 75–90°F (24–32°C) and cool nights in the mid 40s–50s°F (7–13°C). This is when the concessionaire services are fully active and the site is most comfortable for back-to-basics camping (note: there is no running water, so bring plenty). Afternoon monsoon thunderstorms are possible in July–August and weekends can be moderately Peak months: June, July, August, September Avoid: December, January, February
Seasonal notes: days 75–90°F, cool nights, long daylight — 'best time to visit'.
