Best season: summer. Summer delivers the warm, dry weather and full lake access that make Greens Lake ideal for boating, paddleboarding, and trout fishing — expect daytime highs around 65–80°F and cool nights in the mid-30s to low-50s. Trails are fully clear and wildflowers are at their peak, so hiking and mountain biking are excellent; weekends can be moderately busy, so book early (reservations open June 24). Afternoon thunderstorms are possible at this 7,400 ft elevation, so plan layered clothing and an early-afk Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: October, November, December, January
