Bigger rigs will struggle on the rough access road and in the tight teardrop layout. No potable water, no dump station, no hookups, and at least one reviewer had a bad run-in with the camp monitor.

A teardrop shape to its configuration makes a second pass for RVs through the campground difficult without exiting the campground. Aspen and Engelmann spruce provide shade. The sound of the creek is heard throughout the campground. The campground is pack it in, pack it out.

Summer brings the most reliable access and comfortable conditions. Expect daytime highs around 65-80°F and nights dropping to the mid-30s to mid-40s. Weather shifts fast at this elevation. Wind funnels through the canyon, and afternoon thunderstorms arrive with little warning. Spring and fall see dramatic temperature swings. Winter closes the rough access road.
Aspen groves shift to 'aspen gold' in fall; scenic value high though open window is limited.
