Best Time to Camp at Deep Creek Campground

Mother Nature keeps things interesting in this mountain canyon, where the weather can shift from sunshine to storm in a heartbeat. Be prepared for dramatic temperature swings, sudden gusts of wind that whistle through the canyon walls, and surprise appearances of rain or even snow. When the sun dips below the canyon rim, temperatures plummet quickly, creating crisp, star-filled nights that remind you just how wild this place truly is.
