Best season: spring. Spring offers the best combination of comfortable weather and peak scenery — daytime highs typically range from the mid-50s to upper-70s °F (about 13–26°C) with cool, pleasant nights. This is when the famous Texas bluebonnets and dozens of other wildflowers are in full bloom, making shoreline hikes and photography exceptional, and fishing and boating very enjoyable before summer heat sets in. Expect higher weekend crowds during peak bloom weeks (late March–April) and plan reservations early, but Peak months: April, March, May, October
Best season: bluebonnet blooms and peak fishing cited by reviewers.
