Best season: spring. Spring offers the best combination of comfortable weather and show-stopping scenery — April and May bring abundant bluebonnets and other native wildflowers, making shoreline walks and photos exceptional. Daytime highs are typically in the mid-60s to mid-80s°F with cool mornings in the 50s to low 60s, ideal for fishing, birding and boating before the summer heat sets in. Weekdays and early-season weekends are relatively uncrowded compared with peak summer holiday weekends. Peak months: April, May, June, September Avoid: October, November, December, January

Wolf Creek Park offers 50 campsites with water and electric hookups, 22 non-electric sites, two double sites and one group site. Public restrooms with showers, a group picnic shelter, fishing pier, dump station and a two-lane boat ramp with a courtesy dock are provided within the facility.
