Summer offers the clearest weather windows, steady access (campground open June 13–Sept 30), and the best conditions for staying overnight in the lookout with panoramic Pacific views. Expect daytime highs roughly 55–75°F and nights around 40–50°F, with cool marine mornings that often burn off to crisp, sunny afternoons; occasional gusts up to ~30–40 mph can occur. This is peak time for hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, photography, and sleeping at the summit — expect moderate weekend crowds but— Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: October, November, December, January

Snow Camp Lookout offers a unique lodging experience with panoramic views from the mountain top. Amenities include a double bed with a mattress, a table and chairs, cabinets and counter space for food preparation, a wood-burning cook stove, and a picnic table for outdoor dining. There is a pit toilet near the lookout. Visitors must bring their own drinking water, cooking gear, and other supplies. A wheelbarrow is provided to assist with transporting items for the 200-yard hike to the summit.
