Light sleepers in tent sites near the highway will struggle. The lumber mill runs all night, Hwy 101 traffic carries into camp, and some tent sites reviewers flag as rocky and cramped. Earplugs are basically required.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Summer brings the best beach weather. Daytime highs reach the mid-60s to low-70s, with cool nights in the 50s and frequent morning fog that clears to sun. This is prime time for tide pooling and hiking the bluffs, though July and August see the heaviest crowds. Longer daylight and calmer seas make summer the most reliable window for exploring the coast, despite the packed campground.
Best beach weather and prime time for tidepooling/hiking; very popular and crowded in summer.
