Mosquitoes here are serious, not a minor annoyance. One reviewer burned through repellent at roughly the pace of beer. Also: no potable water on-site, no hookups, no garbage service, and Paisley is about an hour away if you forget something important.

Summer (May 15–October 15) is the most reliable season, with daytime temperatures in the mid-60s to low-80s°F and nights cooling to the 30s–50s°F. Long daylight hours suit fishing and hiking. With only nine sites, crowds stay light even in peak season, though early arrival helps. Winter brings snow and freezing temperatures. Mosquitoes are aggressive in warmer months. Bring serious repellent.
Open May 15–Oct 15; reliable summer temps, long days, fishing, swimming and biking popular then.
Potable water is not available at this site.
