Go if

Anglers and budget campers who can haul their own water from Clear Springs Forest Camp 1.5 miles west. Dairy Creek runs right through the sites, a reviewer pulled a 20-inch trout, and nine sites rarely fill up even in summer.

Skip if

Mosquitoes here are serious, not a minor annoyance. One reviewer burned through repellent at roughly the pace of beer. Also: no potable water on-site, no hookups, no garbage service, and Paisley is about an hour away if you forget something important.
