This full-service campground offers hot showers, fire pits, picnic tables, and water and electricity hook-ups for RV's. Come make lifelong memories hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, playing basketball, volleyball, and horseshoes. From Salem, OR: Travel east on Oregon Highway 22 (the Santiam Highway) 27 miles. Watch for signs. Turn right on River Road SE, 2 miles west of Mill City. <br><br>From Bend, OR: Travel west on Oregon Highway 22 for 102 miles. Fishermen's Bend Recreation Site is located 2 miles west of Mill City.

Best season: summer. Summer delivers the most reliable, comfortable weather (daytime highs typically 70–85°F / 21–29°C, nights 45–55°F / 7–13°C), making water activities — swimming, boating on Green Peter Reservoir and creek-side relaxation along Quartzville Creek — at their peak. Trails and fishing are in excellent condition and the meadow group site is ideal for large gatherings and evening campfires; expect weekends in July–August to be the busiest. Be aware that late-summer fire restrictions can occur, so check火 Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: October, November, December, January

Old Miner's Meadow Group Use Area offers some basic amenities for group camping. The site includes picnic tables, individual campfire rings, a group campfire ring and grill, trash collection, and vault toilets located just outside the fenced boundary of the campground. Campers are required to bring their own drinking water and firewood. Horseshoe pits provide additional recreation within the site. "Vault toilet bathroom. I never used it since we had our RV but my husband did and said it's kept clean." (User review: Leslie Gutierrez). "Restroom on site. Not great, but better than nothing."
