Driving directionsFrom Bridgeport, California, take Highway 395 south 5 miles. Turn west on Forest Road 142 and follow signs for 9 miles of narrow dirt road, to the campground on the left, just passed the trailhead parking.
The road access includes a narrow dirt road spanning 9 miles. The road is passable with sedans during daylight, but challenging terrain makes nighttime travel better suited for 4-wheel drive or pickups.
