Cleanliness-sensitive campers have flagged the shower house and restrooms in multiple reviews, and cabin guests should know the Sherman Cabins have no running water despite having A/C and heat. No cell service is real, not partial.

Burr Oak Cove Campground is a small densely wooded campground on the northwest tip of Burr Oak Reservoir in Athens County. The campground has 19 camping units, including walk-in sites which offer additional seclusion to the camper looking for solitude.

The elevation is 620 ft. Near the northwest tip of Burr Oak Reservoir, this small, rustic campground offers a tranquil setting in a heavily wooded area of mixed hardwoods. There is no direct access to the reservoir from the campground but Lake View Trail provides a means to view the Lake. The campground is convenient to a portion of the North Country Scenic Trail which is co- located on the Buckeye Trail which meanders around Ohio. Because the campground is so close to these two trails, it is often used by through-hikers. Some tent sites are walk-in and offer a secluded and private camping experience.
