Go if

Tent campers and small-trailer owners (20 ft max) who pack in all their water and food will get a genuinely quiet forest site with stream sounds, direct trail access into the backcountry, and free camping that's hard to beat in summer.

Skip if

No potable water, no trash cans, a chronically dirty portable toilet (summer only), and confirmed mountain lion activity in camp make this a poor fit for anyone expecting basic amenities or traveling with young kids.
