Summer offers the best combination of reliable access, warm days, and full trail and campsite availability—Spire Rock Campground is open and everything is at its peak from mid-May through late September. Expect daytime highs roughly 65–80°F and cool nights around 35–50°F, with frequent afternoon thunderstorms that are brief but can roll through the canyon. This is prime time for hiking Storm Castle and Garnet Mountain, fishing Storm Castle Creek, boating nearby, and abundant wildlife viewing; be Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: October, November, December, January
