Summer delivers the most reliable conditions. Daytime highs hit the mid-60s to mid-70s, nights drop into the mid-30s to mid-40s. Trails clear of snow, creek flows are good for trout, and afternoon thunderstorms roll through occasionally. Late summer can bring fire restrictions. Winter buries the campground in snow and makes road access difficult. Heavy snow seasons turn the access road into a challenge, according to user reports.
