RV campers who want a clean, electric-hookup site with hot showers and a famous waterfall trail literally out the door. The Devil's Kettle hike is 1-2 miles round trip but earns it with staircases and a geological oddity worth the drive alone.

Tent campers are out of luck entirely, since the site types here are RV-only. Verizon users should know their coverage may be near zero, and anyone wanting privacy will find sites closer together than the forest setting implies.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
The campground opens early May through mid-October. Summer (June through August) brings daytime highs in the mid-50s to mid-70s with nights dropping to the mid-40s to mid-50s. Pack layers even in July. Trails dry out by June, making Devil's Kettle more manageable than during spring mud. River flows are best for boating in early summer before water levels drop. Fall colors peak in late September, but services close soon after. Day-use trails stay open year-round, though the campground itself shuts down mid-October.
Open through mid-October; North Shore fall colors and waterfalls are appealing.
