Summer delivers warm, lake-focused camping with daytime highs around 70–85°F and nights in the 50s–60s. Swimming, canoeing, and evening naturalist programs peak during these months, and long daylight makes moonlit walks and campfires easy to enjoy. Weekends draw heavier traffic, so reserve the group site early. Expect insects at dusk and crowded conditions on holiday weekends. Fall brings excellent color along the trails and calm mornings for sunrise photography. Winter opens the park to ice fishing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.
