Summer delivers the most reliable conditions, with daytime highs between 75 and 85°F and nights cooling to 50–60°F. The season opens up swimming, fishing, and paddling on both the lake and Black River. Trails and forest roads stay accessible for hiking and biking, and wildlife viewing peaks at dawn and dusk. Weekends fill quickly despite the small site count, so midweek arrivals have better odds of snagging waterfront spots.
Best season: reliable warm temps, open for swimming, fishing and paddling.
