Located in the heart of the Ironjaw Semi-Primitive Area, Triangle Lake is managed for both motorized and non-motorized uses and our management efforts seek to provide for quiet, peaceful recreation opportunities in a semi-primitive setting. Both campsites on Triangle Lake (169 acres) are located on the non-motorized Pine Marten Run Trail, which is open to hiking, mountain biking and horse back riding. There is no drinking water at these campsites. A boat access and parking area for day use is located at Site #1. This access is very sandy and turn-around space is limited. Carry-in access is recommended. There is no boat access at site #2. Triangle Lake is a good fishing lake with a nice population of northern pike, small mouth bass, bluegills, crappie and perch.

Best season: summer. Summer offers the warmest, most comfortable weather for lake recreation — expect daytime highs around 65–80°F and nighttime lows in the mid-40s to low-60s. Water-based activities (bass and pike fishing, canoeing/kayaking, swimming and small-boat cruising) are at their peak, and wildlife viewing is excellent in the calm early mornings and evenings. Weekends in July can be the busiest, but weekdays remain peaceful, so plan midweek visits for maximum solitude. Peak months: July, August, June, September
Summer is most popular; reliable temps (65–80°F) and water activities are available.
