Summer offers mild, reliably open conditions and the core reason to visit: paddling and boating in calm, clear Duncan Bay with secure mooring at the campground's 6-foot-deep dock. Expect daytime highs generally in the mid-50s to upper-60s °F (often 50–70°F) and cool nights in the 40s, ideal for daytime exploration and comfortable evenings at camp. Wildlife viewing, shoreline fishing, and quiet solo or small-group paddling are at their peak, and because the site has only two shelters the feeling— Peak months: July, August, June Avoid: September, October, November, December

Duncan Narrows Campground offers limited amenities suitable for boaters, canoeists, and kayakers. Boats can dock overnight with a depth of 6 feet under normal conditions. There are two shelters available for use.
