There are two primitive campsites located on the 63 acre Jackpine Lake. Jackpine has a reputation for good smallmouth. This is a good lake for smallmouth bass and bluegills. Some large yellow perch and bullheads are present as well. There is no drinking water available at these sites. There is an unimproved boat access located on the south side of the lake near site #1. This access is suitable for small, lightweight boats only. The access road is firm sand with some gravel. This boat access is intended for day-use only. Parking space is limited.

Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Best season: summer. Summer is the best time to visit Jackpine Lake because the water is warm enough for swimming and small‑boat paddling, trails are dry and fully accessible, and fisheries (bass/panfish/perch) are active. Expect daytime highs typically in the mid‑60s to upper‑70s °F (around 65–80°F) with cool nights in the mid‑40s to mid‑50s °F; cloudy days are common but do not usually prevent outdoor recreation. Weekdays and early summer are very quiet, while holiday weekends in July–August see the highest use —, Peak months: July, August, September Avoid: November, December, January, February
Summer is peak: warm water for swimming, trails dry, active fishing noted.
