Summer months from June through September bring gloriously mild days perfect for exploration, though savvy campers know to pack warm layers for those crisp mountain nights when temperatures can plummet unexpectedly. The region's typically dry climate means rain rarely interrupts your plans, but those venturing here in late spring or early fall should come prepared for the possibility of waking to a magical winter wonderland.
