No potable water on-site means hauling all your own. The season is short, early June can still bring snow at this elevation, and Trail Creek Road closes in winter, so the window is roughly mid-June through September.

September cools quickly. Frost is common in the mornings. Early June can still see snow dusting tents overnight. Pack layers no matter when you visit; mountain weather shifts fast.
