Bishop Park is one of the most popular campgrounds in the Bishop Creek Area. Located on the banks of the Middle Fork of Bishop Creek, Bishop Park has grassy lawns and campsites right on the creek. Many of the 21 campsites are walk in tent sites. Not recommended for large RVs, there are a few sites that will accommodate smaller rigs.

The elevation is 8,300 ft. The campground stretches along the North Fork of Bishop Creek among Jeffrey and Lodgepole pines, some Aspen and cottonwoods. The tent sites back up on the creek allowing anglers to fish from the comfort of their camp site. The combined camp sites have limited shade and a more desert feel with nice views of surrounding mountain peaks. Bear box food containers are found throughout campground. Firewood is available for a fee. The nearby Cardinal Village Resort offers a variety of services from limited groceries and fishing supplies to internet access, a cafe serving breakfast and lunch, and much more. This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques. "Possessing/storing food so bears/wild animals have access will result in a fine of at least $150."
Open April 23 through October 1
The parking aprons are dirt. Camp sites 1 through 3 are on a spur with no turnaround; travel trailers not recommended.

Best season: summer. Summer offers the best combination of reliably warm days (typically 60–80°F) and open access — the campground is fully open, creeks are clear, and high alpine trails are generally snow-free. This is prime time for trout fishing on North Fork Bishop Creek, day hikes and horseback excursions into the surrounding granite basins, and creekside relaxation; evenings are cool (30s–40s) so bring layers. Expect more visitors on holiday weekends and summer evenings around campfires, so reserve early. Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: November, December, January, February
Summer offers warm afternoons, cleared trails and full campground operations (May–Oct).
