<p>This family campground is located in an area with tall pines, oaks and cedar trees. Crab Flats has 28 sites. 23 sites are reservable sites with a space length of 15 feet through the Recreation.gov widget below.</p><p>There are 5 first-come, first-serve sites. Off-Highway vehicle trails are nearby. Green Valley Lake is approximately six miles away. There is no overflow parking. No large RVs. This campground is for off-highway vehicle oriented camping. Best season: fall. Fall offers the best combination of comfortable mountain temperatures, dramatic color in the oaks and understory, and much lighter crowds than peak summer — early September through early October typically sees daytime highs in the mid-50s to mid-70s°F and cool nights in the 30s–40s. Trails are usually dry and ideal for hiking and mountain biking, fishing is productive as water temperatures cool, and wildlife activity increases with less human traffic.
