Best season: fall. Fall delivers the best balance of comfortable weather, lower crowds, and active wildlife — expect crisp, sunny days in the 60s–70s°F and nights in the 40s–50s°F. Trails are dry and stable after summer, the creek still runs periodically after early autumn storms, and deer season and raptor migration make wildlife viewing excellent. Weekdays and mid‑October to November weekends are pleasantly quiet compared with summer, so you’ll have a more solitary mountain experience while still enjoying warm, Peak months: October, November, April, March
Fall cited as best season: comfortable temps, lower crowds, flowing water and active wildlife.
