Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable window of mild weather, long daylight, and full access to boating and fishing on the productive estuary—typical summer highs run about 55–65°F with lows in the mid-40s to 50°F and daylight up to ~18 hours. Trail conditions are at their best for hiking and biking, and salmon- and sea-run activity makes fishing and wildlife viewing (bald eagles, seals, shorebirds) especially productive. Expect moderate crowds in July and August and plan ahead for limited nearby lodg Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: January, February, March, April
Best conditions: 55–65°F, long daylight, trails dry for hiking/biking, estuary active and prime fishing.
