Best Time to Camp at Kegan Creek Cabin

The moody beauty of southeastern Alaska reveals itself through ever-changing skies at Kegan Creek. Rain often paints the forest in a thousand shades of green during peak season, creating a mystical atmosphere that defines this temperate rainforest. Winter transforms the landscape into a crystalline wonderland, though snow and ice can make the journey here an adventure in itself. During a typical week, temperatures hover around a crisp 40°F at their warmest, dipping to a refreshing 35°F at night—perfect weather for cozying up by the oil stove with a hot drink. Come prepared for nature's full spectrum, from gentle mists to dramatic downpours that drum rhythmically on the cabin roof.
