Activities you can enjoy

Raven Cabin offers a variety of recreational activities, primarily centered around its remote and natural setting. Its proximity to Situk River makes it ideal for fishing and boating, while the surrounding area provides opportunities for hunting, hiking, and wildlife viewing.
HikingHiking is available via a 3-mile trail leading to the cabin. The trail is relatively flat but can flood. Numerous root wads make walking moderately difficult, and it fords the Old Situk River without following the Situk River's banks.
FishingFishing opportunities at Situk River are excellent, with species including rainbow trout, Dolly Varden, steelhead, sockeye, pink, king, and coho salmon.
BoatingVisitors can bring inflatable rafts, kayaks, and canoes. Guided boating trips and boat rentals are available from nearby lodges. The river can be dangerous for inexperienced boaters, and conditions should be checked prior to excursions.
Wildlife viewingLarge populations of moose, brown bears, bald eagles, and ravens can be observed in the area. Gulls are often seen along the Situk River.
