Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access (lake ice-free), long daylight, and the warmest, driest weather for boating, fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing — expect daytime highs typically in the mid-50s to mid-60s °F (10–18 °C) with frequent overcast and periodic rain. Aquatic activities and floatplane access are at their peak, berry-bearing shrubs and active shorelines draw birds and mammals, and trails are mostly snow-free. Because the cabin is remote and access is by floatplane or boat, summer Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: November, December, January, February
Best access Apr–Oct; lake ice-free and summer is peak for fishing and boating.
