Best season: summer. Summer offers the mildest, most reliable conditions for reaching Anchor Pass Cabin and using it as a base for fishing, boating, kayaking, and wildlife viewing — expect daytime highs generally in the upper 40s to low 60s °F (about 8–16 °C) and long daylight (often 16+ hours around midseason). Calmish weather windows and reduced storm frequency make floatplane or small-boat access easier, and low-to-moderate boat traffic increases the chance of guided trips or other visitors without feeling busy.T Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: December, January
Summer offers calmest access, 16+ hours daylight and is peak season for visits.

Anchor Pass Cabin offers a rustic and minimal camping experience. The 12x14 ft pan-abode style cabin is equipped with two single bunks, two double bunks, a table and benches, a wood stove, cleaning equipment, and an outhouse. It lacks electricity and running water. Visitors must bring their own firewood as it cannot be guaranteed, and water from a nearby creek must be treated before use. Other recommended items include sleeping bags, sleeping pads, food, cookware, lanterns, toilet paper, garbage bags, and fire starters. Trash must be packed out and the cabin cleaned before departure. A mooring float is available, but not exclusive to cabin visitors.
