Best season: summer. Summer offers the best combination of mild weather, long daylight, and open water — ideal for floatplane access, boating, fishing, and long hikes. Expect daytime highs commonly in the mid-50s to mid-60s °F (12–18 °C) with cool nights around 40–50 °F (5–10 °C) and up to 18+ hours of daylight in June–July, so you can pack a lot of activity into each day. Mosquitoes peak in early summer and visitor numbers are still low because access requires a floatplane, but reserve early for July–August when it Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: January, February, March, April

The cabin does not have running water or electricity, and visitors must bring their own water, food, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cook stoves, matches, cooking gear/utensils, light source, #1 stove oil, toilet paper, first aid kit and garbage bags. The one-room cabin is a primitive, pre-cut cedar log cabin in pan-abode style, furnished with wooden bunkbeds without mattresses that sleep up to six guests. The cabin is equipped with a table, benches, an oil stove for heat and an outside toilet. Access to the cabin is float plane only.
