Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access and the best mix of activities — expect cool, comfortable days (typically 60–70°F) and crisp nights (often 30–40°F) at nearly 9,900 ft. Trails and the nearby La Gunitita Lake are fully accessible for hiking, trout fishing, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing, and wildflowers are at their peak in July. Weekdays are generally quiet while weekends see moderate local use, so plan weekdays for solitude and bring layers and thunderstorm gear for afternoon squs. Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: November, December, January, February
Fall noted as ideal (less crowded, peaceful) with good access and scenery; autumn use recommended.
